VPS4 Project Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Project Officers who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within infrastructure for the state government sector.

About your new role

Project Officer bridges the gap between administrative support and strategic management. At this level, you aren't just "processing paperwork", you are expected to exercise independent judgment, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the integrity of government funding. You will focus on the "end-to-end" lifecycle of a grant program.

What you will need to exceed

• Experience in the full lifecycle of grants, including coordinating delivery, managing the assessment process, and handling post activities.
• Be able to monitor funding allocations and ensure they comply with both departmental and broader government policies.
• Experience using appropriate purchasing processes that align with departmental complexity and policy.
• Be able to maintain reporting systems and provide support to others in using these tools to ensure data integrity.
• Ability to identify potential issues and risks at an early stage and propose workable solutions.
• Produce accurate reports, briefings, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders, including Ministerial staff.
• Comfortable dealing with complex concepts and using analytical skills to reason through problems.

Must have

• Experience using SmartyGrants and Salesforce

Desirable

• Experience in working for government
